Rabbits as Nice Pets for Kids

Rabbits are the cutest animals that can be opted as the pets and I think there will hardly any kid that will not be willing to adopt them as their loving pet. They are cuddly, soft and furry and moreover quite adorable as babies. The best thing is babies can't resist and more often they persuade their parents to buy them one
Rabbit can be easily trained and can be kept in a house quite easily in that they can use a cat tray and can become or being very much able to become a member of the family being living indoor the rabbits get a lot of attention they get readily adopted to the provided environment. Most rabbits love to live in hutches and gardens
Care
Rabbits have got nice habits of keeping themselves and their home clean they always use the same corner for their litter and waste and that habit makes them friendly for the humans. They are not messy and use only a corner of the hutch that they require to keep themselves happy. Regularly cleaning out will the hutch and run clean and not smell.
Rabbits can be kept quite cheaply as they feed on a mixture of hard food including vegetables, hay. Care should be taken while going for the vegies as the Lettuce and those vegies having high water content can cause diarrhea and is more dangerous to the younger ones having weak digestive track. For bedding the straw and wood shavings make nice bedding for the young rabbits. If your garden is well fenced in they can be allowed supervised access to run around, but beware of your prize plans as they may be very tasty to a rabbit and be warned that many dogs (and some cats) love to chase rabbits! Rabbits get easily bored, so as well as food and cleaning you should make sure the rabbit is handled daily. If your garden is not secure rabbits can be trained to a harness and lead quite easily which will help with exercise.
Children and Rabbits
Children often go to their pet rabbits when the sun is not there on the sky and there isn’t anything to do. But the unfortunate thing about kid is they get bored of the little rabbits when it get cold and raining or the keeping cleanliness of the rabbits is on the behalf of them. Children have strong desires for keeping little rabbits to enjoy and play with them but their desires vanish rapidly with the age and at the age of ten years the children almost lose their interest unless the parent help them out and make them realize the need of pets for happier and fuller life. In any event, an adult must always take responsibility for the husbandry of any animal as this cannot be left to a child.
My advice is that you shouldn't get a rabbit as a pet for your child unless you are prepared to do the majority of the work. It might be that your child is the exception, but however much they tell you they can be relied upon, it's better to accept that there may come a point where you end up as the major caretaker. And if that's not for you, don't get a pet rabbit!
Rabbit Problems
Rabbits are fairly hardy creatures - a blanket over the front of the hutch is normally sufficient to protect them except in the harshest weather. There are problems which may develop with them if they are neglected - matted dirty hair can attract flies which lay their eggs on them, and it's not nice to find your rabbit literally being eaten by maggots. They can get lice and fleas, so a regular treatment is advisable.
